“Happiness doesn’t result from what we get, but from what we give.”- Ben Carson

Over the last decade it seems the concept of manifestation, law of attraction and “how to create your reality” has become a main theme. It isn’t hard to find content from a self-proclaimed guru on how to change your thoughts and energy to manifest anything you want.
Admittedly, at the onset of my awakening, I dove into this world head first without any desire to look back.
“You mean I can create anything I want with the power of my mind and my energy? Sign me up!”
I chuckle now at how I overzealously ran into what soon became the most challenging and dark phase of my life.
In my experience, there is a layer of illusion and distortion in the study of manifestation I refer to as “the lack program.”
A major part of the human condition is feeling separate from the life force energy that is our true state of being.
Our mind gets programmed and conditioned to believe we are separate from Source/the universe/God, and so we live unconsciously believing we are not enough.
We live in a perpetual state of lack.
And guess what one of the greatest illusory antidotes to the lack program is?
The conscious act of manifestation.
If you’re feeling compelled to disagree with me I completely understand, partly because your dissent holds an element of truth.
The truth is, we are always manifesting. Everything we think and attach our creative life-force energy to, sets out to become a part of our physical reality.
Thoughts do become things, and the more aware of our thoughts we become, the more we are able to steer the ship of our life experience.
And, learning how to train our minds to think and believe in alignment with the truth of who we are IS a necessary part of the process of returning home to wholeness. Without this experience and practice, it’s often very hard to cultivate the trust that is needed to let go of attachments to the physical world, and surrender.
There comes a point though in the study of manifestation, when we are called to shift.
If we are unconsciously using manifestation techniques to manage the fear of lack, and we are consciously seeking to be and feel whole and complete- one with Source- we will be energetically out of alignment, and it will be hard to live in integrity with the truth of who we are.
Trying to avoid the feeling of lack by filling our life with relationships, material items and experiences to make us feel the feelings we desire- happiness, security, peace, satisfaction, pleasure- will keep us in separation from the wholeness that we are.
Ironically, as we write out affirmations, visualize what we want and listen to audios as we sleep to reprogram the subconscious mind, we bypass and resist the very thing that has the power to give us everything we desire.
Emptiness.
In my experience, to truly be of service is to be made whole by Source.
It’s to fully accept and receive the gift of being empty- being free of desire for anything in the physical realm- to be filled by the truth of who I am, which is universal love; the energy that I- that we- are made manifest from.
When we are whole and complete, filled with the spirit of our creator, we become free of the lack program, and are able to be of service without an agenda, without needing reciprocity from the external world, because we feel a deep sense of trust and security that we always have everything we need, and we feel loved because we are love.
When we are no longer looking for anything outside of ourselves to complete us, we become an energetic cup of overflowing universal love. We become a human vessel for Source to work through.
Visualizing and affirming what we want from our ego mind becomes a thing of the past, because we no longer feel the need to manifest our desires. Instead, we are able to sit in the stillness of the present moment and allow Divine energy to flow through us, to manifest the abundance that we are all here to feel, experience and receive.
The thoughts and visions of what we are here to create will come to us through Source. The motivation and confidence to take action will continuously show up, inspiring us to do what we are here to do.
As a vessel of Source energy, we are physical manifestations of Divine will, in service to universal love, without fear, without lack.
In my experience, and from what I gather from witnessing other’s experiences, to rest in the energy of Source and truly be of service, requires a purification process.
We have to be willing to let go of attachments to everything in the physical world we have been conditioned to hold on to in an effort to not feel empty, alone and abandoned. And when I don’t let go on my own, Source finds a way to detach me, sometimes in not so pleasant ways.
Doing the work to heal, remember who we are, and let go and surrender our ego’s desires, is what purifies us.
And on the other side of the “ego death” that facilitates becoming free of the lack program, is true freedom.
We are all here to be of service.
Our task is to let go of what we think we need so we can receive the truth of who we are and manifest the heaven on earth we are all here to experience.
And the greatest mind f*ck of it all is, we have always been healed, whole and complete.
We just forget who we are.
And it’s time to remember.
